Day 19:

Today, I made another stick-figure image, just in case I need it. I also edited the video together slightly more. I need to play more of the game, write more of the script, and record the voice-over before I edit the video any further, so I'll have to do that today after school.

Day 18:

On Friday, I was able to edit even more of the video together. I feel like I'm getting close to finishing the project. All I need to do now is beat the game, finish the last few paragraphs of script, make a voice-over, and edit the rest together.

Day 17:

Yesterday, I was able to record some of the things I needed to to continue my editing. Today, I did more said editing and am getting much closer to finishing the project. After class, I wrote a bunch more of the script, but I won't be able to finish it until I play more of the game. Tomorrow, I'll do more editing.

Day 16:

Yesterday at home, I was able to play through most of world 5 and record what I needed to. Today, I edited a bunch more of the video together and now I can finally say that my project is coming to an end. I still have to record and play a bit more of the game and finish my script, but I should hopefully finish recording everything by Friday? The latest will be Monday. Today I also learned how to animate a title in Premiere. It was pretty easy to figure out, even if I had to look it up. After school today, I am hoping to write a bit more of the script and recording more of what I'll need for the video.

Day 15:

At home yesterday, all I was able to do was record just a little bit more of the voice-over, but nothing else. At least it kept me occupied for the entire block today. Today, I edited the video together even more! So far, the length of the video is over 7.5 minutes long, and I'm still not done. I do think I should start finishing up the script though. Today after school, I will record a little bit more of the game, play more of the game, get close to finishing my script, and record more of my voice-over. I should be able to get it done.

Day 14:

Over the weekend, I played and beat world 4. I also wrote more of the script, but I wasn't able to record anything. I'll be doing that today after school. I also downloaded a couple of the songs in the game so I can add them into the video.

During class today, I was able to edit a little bit more of the video, like adding in some music and other smaller details. This stuff take much more time than I originally thought. I also made two more images for the video. They will be very useful.

My plan for the rest of the day after school is to play more of LBP, record more of LBP, and record more voice-over for the video.

Day 13:

Today was very productive for me. I was able to edit even more of the video together and make another image. My plan for over the weekend is to play more of the game, write more of the script, record myself reading the script., and find some music to add into the video. I'm getting excited! I think I might have to learn how to make images move on the screen when I come back on Monday as well. Anyways, here's proof of what I did today:

Day 12:

I was FINALLY able to record my voice yesterday, so today I started editing my video together. I also made another image for the video. I wasn't able to edit that much together, but at least I was able to start. I might try to record my voice-over again, though since I was speaking really fast in it. I'll have to slow myself down.

Day 11

I wasn't able to do much today. I wasn't able to record my voice again, so I'll have to do it later today. I really need to get onto the video editing. I'll play a little bit more of the game today (Hopefully) and record my voice. I do have other things I have to do, though but hopefully I will be able to do it.

Day 10

Today in Media Arts, I decided to help another friend on a different class project. Since I didn't have time over the weekend to record my voice-over for the video, I had to think of something else to do today. Since his project was a video, I was able to use Adobe Premiere to edit it together. I got practice using the cut tool, speeding different parts of the video up, and even adding in text. I feel like this video was a good warm-up to what I will soon be editing.

Over the weekend, I beat world 3 in LBP, but that's about all that I was able to do. After school, I'm going to do the best I can at recording as much of the voice-over as I can then tomorrow, I'll edit some of the video together and play world 4.

Day 9

Yesterday, I played more of LBP and have completed world 2. I will try and complete world 3 today if I can. I actually made it to the level I got stuck on all those years ago. It wasn't that hard. I also wrote a bit more of the script. Here's a screenshot of the level:

Day 8

I wasn't able to do much today, sadly. I didn't get a chance to play any more of the game yesterday, but I was still able to write a little bit more of the script. My plan for the rest of today and tomorrow is to play a lot more of the game, record some of it, and continue writing a script. Over the weekend, I'm thinking of recording my script so I can start editing the video on Monday. Here's my script so far btw:

Day 7

I played more of the game at home, but not much more. I will definitely play more of the game today after school and I won't record all of it. I think I have plenty of footage now, so I won't need much more. I just need to play more of the game. I've beaten world one and am now on the second world. I also wrote a little bit more of the script. I also have an idea on how to get more familiar with premiere before I start editing the video.I should hopefully have more things I'll be able to do tomorrow.

Day 6

I finally recorded some LBP footage over the weekend!  I played the tutorial and two levels over the weekend. After school today, I'll make sure to play much more of it so I can start editing the clips together. I won't be recording everything I do from now on, since I don't have the space for it on my phone. I'll only record the important parts in the game. I also wrote a bunch more of the script down. I now have 4 paragraphs of script written. I should hopefully be able to write more of it down tomorrow.

Day 5

Today, I wrote a tiny bit of my script. There wasn't much else for me to do, since I still need to record the game. I will make sure I do so on Saturday, since I should be free then. I should hopefully be able to do more on Monday, since I couldn't do much today.

Day 4

Today, I decided to learn how to use adobe premiere. I started off attempting to mess around in it, but quickly went to their website to learn how to use it. I learned how to cut videos, add audio, add text and images on separate layers, and MORE! This surprisingly took all class to do, since the tutorials on the website were a bit slow. I also looked up on google a couple of things I couldn't figure out, since Adobe's website wasn't giving be some of the answers I was looking for. I feel like I've learned a lot and will be able to start editing the actual video once I finish recording that. After school, I'll play and record a bit of the game and save the videos onto my USB, so I can save them onto the computer here. Hopefully by tomorrow, I'll be able to write some of the script. I'll also have to find some songs to add into the video as well. Anyways, here is what my practice video editing mess looks like:

Day 3

Today, I was planning on messing around in premiere, but ran into a problem. When I added a picture into the screen, it wouldn't show up. The screen was stuck blank. Tomorrow, I will come to class with a practice video and use that to mess around in premiere instead. I will also watch some tutorials on adobe's website. Today, I also wrote down a couple more notes on the game I'll be reviewing. When I get home today, I should hopefully be able to record some of the footage I will need for the video. That is my plan.

Day 2

Today, I finally decided which game I was going to review. The game I chose was: Little Big Planet. Last time I played this game, I was too young to beat the 4th level, so I want to see what the game is like now. I went to Wikipedia to find some facts about the game, so I can add them into my script when I start that.








I also made an image that will be in the video a couple of times when I don't have any game footage to show or when game footage wouldn't work at that time in the video. I may have to make more with different expressions in the future, but for now, this is all I'll need.

Day 1

I haven't started the project yet, but I have a plan. I will choose a game to play through and record it at home. While I'm doing that, I'll be researching the game and finding/making the things I'll need in the video at school. I'll also be writing a script once I get through enough of the game to do so. Once I'm done recording, I'll edit the parts together at school using Adobe Premiere and looking up how-to's on what I need to learn. Before that, though, I'll have a practice video recorded and mess around with it in premiere to learn what I do and don't know.
